7 Way Bypass relays are the most popular of all the relays that we supply and of these, the TEB7AS is the most popular. It is the most universal of the bypass relays and supplies current to power all of the trailer's or caravan's rear lights and additionally provides the flasher bulb failure warning (C2 function). It can be used on vehicles with modulated outputs supplying both brake and tail lamps on the same circuit.
TEB7A is a similar product, but does not have the ability to differentiate modulated outputs.
The TEB7A-24 is used on 24v vehicles, supplying a 12v output to the trailer from either the middle 12v tapping of the vehicle or by use of a dedicated 24v to 12v converter.
The TEB7AJ is a specialist relay dedicated to negatively switched vehicles.
Towing Electrics Ltd also supplies bypass relays with a smaller number of outputs, ranging from TEB2 with two outputs to TEB4 with four outputs.
The TEB2MA is a relay dedicated to switching the flasher circuits along with an audible monitor to indicate the C2 bulb failure function.
The TEC3M relay is a voltage sensing automatic split charge or caravan relay capable of switching up to 30 amps to a caravan's fridge, leisure battery or internal lighting when the car's alternator is operational and is protected by an over temperature cut out.
The TEC2M is a similar device rated to 20 amps output. The TEC2 is also a split charge relay but relies on an ignition switch signal to operate it.
Audible Monitors are used to give warning that the flashers in the towed vehicle are operational by giving a sympathetic audible warning when current is flowing through the trailer's flasher circuits. Power for these monitors is taken directly from the vehicle's flasher circuits and so these products may not be suitable for all vehicles.
The TEM1A is the simplest and the most popular of these monitors. The TEM1B has the same function but instead of having its own in situ buzzer, relies on the use of the TEA buzzer or a panel lamp, the two being connected with its own 5m of figure 8 twin cable.
Towing Electrics Ltd supply a number of standard kits which incorporate the bypass and charging relays along with 7 way 12N , or 12N/S or 13 pin prewired sockets with other kitting components.
These can be made bespoke according to customer requirements if sufficient volumes are ordered.
12N, 12S 12N/S and 13 pin prewired sockets can also be supplied as separately as can cables, and kitting accessories.
